WHAT WE DO

IN OUR BRAINS

WRITER-DRIVEN

We want to bring the fun back into the development process and, with it, the joy of telling a great story.

We believe in putting the writers at the centre of a series project. The pleasure of the ping-pong of ideas and seeing the story grow in a room is why we love this job.

At BRAINS, we’re set on reliably unlocking the full potential of our ideas and of the talents working with us. We are experienced professionals who maintain a grounded and accessible approach, consistently delivering high-quality work that will add to the world and make sense — not just be more “content” but, through great stories, bring us closer to one another.

OUR PROCESS

INTENSE, COLLABORATIVE, RESEARCHED, AND SCRIPT-BASED

With our hands-on creative direction, BRAINS can fully explore the potential of an idea and be ready to go to script in only a few months. Our approach not only saves time, money, and morale; it also ensures our series are inhabited by profound themes, well-developed characters, distinct authorial voices, and sparking dialogue, all created with broad universal and commercial appeal.

    • Efficiency: we work intensely on a project for a short, focused period.

    • Collaboration: we are writers first, fluent in the language of storytelling, and we know how to get the best of our collaborations with other writers.

    • Global approach: as a multicultural company, we collaborate with writers worldwide, ensuring a great mix of local angles and universal appeal in all our projects.

    • Research: We invest in research assistants, allocate the time and resources to explore new topics, and engage experts to enrich our storytelling: they often have the best stories to tell.

    • Script first: anytime we can, we’ll write the script, diving into scenes early to uncover the project’s potential and learn about our characters on the page.

    • Pitch Perfect: we trust in the orality of storytelling and the power of outstanding pitching, ensuring that every project features an engaging multimedia pitch package ready to be shared.

Freeman School of Business, Tulane, Louise is an inspired French creative supervisor with extensive experience in creative industries spanning television (Canal+), video games (Ubisoft, Five Vectors) and new media.
